The first idea the child must acquire is that of the difference between good and evil…. The task of the educator lies in seeing that the child does not confound good with immobility and evil with activity.
Some of the values we teach:
- Follow rules, as they keep us safe and bring us benefits
- Keep clean, so that we can be healthy, strong, and pleasant for others
- Show friendliness to all, show consideration for their feelings
- Realise that we make mistakes and are able to try to correct them
- Share with others of the good things we have
- Cheer a sad friend
- Take care of animals and protect them
- Solve problems with kinds words, not physically
- Adorn speech with courteous words to show respect for others
- Patiently complete work
